About Us

R.A.L. Handels GmbH (Fahrzeugbedarf Division R.A.L. Handel since 2015) was founded in 2000 from a merger of three companies - REV (Graz), ALB (Linz) and LAV (Vienna) - and became a subsidiary of Fahrzeugbedarf Kotz & Co. KG, the Austrian representative of BPW.

The objective was to lay the foundation for a dense and reliable sales network of utility vehicle spare parts and establish a firm market position in order to assure our utility vehicle customers optimal availability of spare parts in general - not only BPW parts. As a result, the network of existing branches was expanded and further branch offices in Wiener Neudorf, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt and Dornbirn were added.

While extending the number of sales offices to 7, we also enhanced our business model.In 2005, with the acquisition of the Vienna-based company Monark Fahrzeugteile GmbH, we established our wholesale division with special focus on lighting components within R.A.L. - initially under the licensed brand Ermax and since 2013 under our own brand "profipart". This new brand provides a consistently growing range of products including lighting systems and accessories for professional users.

By acquiring and incorporating Josef Schemitsch Fahrzeugbau GmbH into our group of companies, we were able to further enlarge our range of products and services. This company with its traditional focus on crane superstructures operates along the principles of a reliable service network by offering its customers an extensive portfolio of services unparalleled in Austria.

By establishing our 8th sales office in Attnang-Puchheim in 2014, we have further extended our sales network, and with a service station for trucks and small trailers located within the same premises, have also enhanced our service range.
